Ana Cristina Castro Ferreira
Associate Professor
University of Minho
I was an undergraduate student at the University of Porto where I also did my MSc in Geometry and Topology.
My Phd studies were at the University of Oxford, under the supervision of Nigel Hitchin, and I obtained my DPhil degree in 2010.
I am a Riemannian geometer by training and until very recently I focused on the study of 'geometry with torsion' and its interplay with the so called 'special geometries'. Lately, I have been mainly working on pseudo-Riemannian geometry and the topic of geodesic completeness.
